Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer leads will be responsible for the design and operation of plant electrical distribution, control systems, electrical maintenance programs and procedures, and in leading a maintenance team. Managing the plant electrical distribution system & switchgear maintenance program.   Managing the plant distribution transformer maintenance program.   Driving the plant electrical safety program by comparing best practices and using information from various codes and other sources to draft plant electrical safety practices and procedures.    Updating plant short circuit, breaker coordination, and arc flash study as electrical distribution system changes are made using EasyPower software. Creating new arc flash hazard labeling for all new or modified electrical equipment in the plant as required.   Implementing SABIC electrical safety and installation standards to the Ottawa Site and deemed applicable.    Justifying and executing projects to reduce the arc flash hazards on electrical equipment in the plant.   Developing/maintaining procedures to functionally test EHSS critical safety instruments and control loops for the plant. Providing training to technicians on performing these procedures.   Justifying and executing plant maintenance projects upgrade obsolete electrical equipment or components.   Knowledge of improved electrical and controls equipment, procedures, techniques, accepted industry practices, codes, and standards, and applying them appropriately to the Ottawa Site.   Training plant mechanics on new work procedures and new equipment in the plant as well as complex electrical, AC/DC Drives, instrumentation and programming issues.   Analyzing equipment to improve performance and reduce/eliminate significant repetitive maintenance repairs and associated costs.   Providing technical assistance on a day-to-day basis as needed and dictated by plant equipment performance.   Making revisions to established control system logic to optimize the operation of plant equipment.   Documenting all control system and electrical changes and updating electronic backups of PLC's.   Participating in process hazard analysis (PHA) reviews of the plant process and providing information and analysis to support these reviews.   Providing electrical and control engineering support for projects being led by other engineers on the site. Requirements BS Engineering Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.  Eligibility Requirements: o You must submit your application for employment online to be considered. Please submit your resume using the apply online option on this page. o You must be 18 years or older o You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process o You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process o You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States Desired SkillPossess experience and knowledge of safe industrial electrical work practices and codes including NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA 1910.  Have experience with electrical engineering of low and medium voltage distribution systems, switchgear, and transformers.  Knowledge and experience with AC/DC variable speed drives.  Knowledge and experience with plant instrumentation and control system components and function.  Experience with identifying, testing (developing test scenarios) & maintaining EHSS "safety critical" instruments, devices, and alarms.  Working knowledge of the PHA (process hazard analysis) process and method, specifically, a process which conducts scenario based reviews of safety critical equipment, instruments, and circuits.  Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks to complete them efficiently, with high quality, on time, and within budget.  Ability to accurately estimate project costs.  Experience with using a methodical hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex problems and ability to teach and mentor Maintenance Technicians in these methods.  Have experience with writing procedures on equipment maintenance, equipment/instrument testing, electrical safety, and training technicians to use these procedures. 9062BR

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
