Logistics Clerk

pay range: 27k
7:00 to 3:30; temp to perm. but will be working 10 hour days at times.
Main Function
The Logistics Clerk will assist with the daily activity in the warehouse office including planning, scheduling, and coordinating domestic and international shipments following customer and company policies, procedures, specifications, and guidelines.
Duties:
Assist in preparation of documents needed to process customer orders including pick tickets and labels per customer specifications
Accurately complete all required documentation for domestic and international shipments including but not limited to bill of lading, customs documents, commercial invoices, and ASNs
Perform shipping acknowledgements and confirmations via customer web sites
Verification and receipt of inbound deliveries
Assist with incoming carrier calls and carrier scheduling
Assist with dispatch of trucks, brokers, and couriers for domestic and international shipments
Serve as liaison between Customer Service and Warehouse staff
Scan barcoded shipments and apply labels according to customer specifications
Assist warehouse management in resolution of issues and identify opportunities for process improvement
Create and maintain customer files and purge regularly
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o General business acumen
o Superior attention to detail
o Excellent organizational skills
o Ability to work with minimal direct supervision
o Ability to manage multiple priorities
o Positive attitude with focus on world class customer service
o Ability to work effectively under pressure in a chaotic environment
Required:
o Associates Degree or High School diploma with 2 years related experience
o Intermediate computer skills; ERP, internet for customer web sites
